Scholarships

Each year, DCWST considers applications for scholarships for our Alpine Racing, Freestyle and Snowboarding teams.  These scholarships are intended to provide an opportunity for children keenly interested in training and possibly competing in these winter sports but who are unable to do so because of financial limitations.  The scholarships comprise a waiver of the DCWST membership fees for the season.  Only a very limited number of scholarships may be awarded each year, and for the 2011-2012 season requests for consideration for a scholarship must be received by DCWST no later than November 15, 2011.

One of our scholarships is the "Tom Wallisch Scholarship."  Tom was a DCWST member during our inaugural 2002-2003 season and today is one of the very best freestyle skiers in the world.  The "Tom Wallisch Scholarship" provides an opportunity for an aspiring member with an interest in developing freestyle skiing or snowboarding skills but is unable to be a team member because of financial constraints.

For further information regarding any of our scholarships, or for instructions on applying for consideration for a scholarship, please send a request to scholarships@dcwst.org.
